Inge Stephan (Berlin) to serve as Max Kade Prof. Fall 2009

We are delighted to announce that Inge Stephan, Professor of German at the Humboldt-Universität Berlin and one of Germany's most renowned scholars, will serve as our annual Max Kade Distinguished Visiting Professor for the duration of fall term, 2009. She will be offering an undergraduate course on postwar German women writers and a graduate seminar on afterimages of German reunifcation in literature, film, and the arts.
